We think money
got in the way.
For most of human history, people traded what they had for what they needed. The Mongol empire ran the safest trade routes the world has ever seen — Pax Mongolica — because the rules were simple and the people on either end of the route trusted each other.
Then we invented money, then platforms, then platforms that take 15% off the top. The neighbour two doors down has the camera you want. You have the rug they want. Neither of you needs Stripe in the middle.
Paxchange is a marketplace without money. We don't take a cut. We never will. The only thing we do is help two people find each other and meet up safely.
This is small infrastructure for a slower kind of commerce. It is not for everyone. It is for people who are asset-rich and cash-light, who would rather hand a thing to a stranger than mail it to a warehouse.
